Just outside the door.
There is much to see in Skövde and the surrounding area. Billingen is one of Västergötland’s plateau mountain and offers an outstanding beautiful nature in all seasons. Billingens leisure area offers a variety of activities and adventures in both summer and winter. There are several miles of hikingtrails right next to the campsite, and in the wintertime they transform into beautiful white sparkling skitrails. When the snow covers the ground, more than 40 kilometers of skitrails are prepared plus 16 kilometers of wilderness trails. There are also great skitracks with artificial snow and in the end of 2018 there will be a skitrack that is 10 km long! Billingen is located in the same climate zone as southern Dalarna, which means that we have a relatively snowproof area.
The billingebadet swimmingpool is known to have Sweden’s most beautiful view, and it´s located just 200 meters from the campsite. In clear weather you can see all the way to Östergötland. There is also a sauna that´s open all year round. Just outside the campsite you will find a skatingrink in the wintertime as well as a slope for going with your sledge.
Sportsequipment is available for rent close to Hotel Billingehus.
If you prefere to walk, there is a paved and lit walk around Åsbotorpssjön, even this one just outside the campsite.
Why not relax with a little fishing in Hållsdammen? Fishing license is purchased in the reception or in the vending machine at the Billingens leisure area.
